THE ADVENTURE CONTINUED…..At The Quarries Campsite
On 5-7th July Braunston Cubs joined nearly 140 others at the Daventry District Cub camp at The Quarries site also close to Milton Keynes.
Here they spent 2 night under canvas whilst doing Archery, Artificial Caving, Geocaching, Backwoods cooking, Air Rifle Shooting, Rope Making, Orienteering, Crafts ,Badge Making lots of games and a great late evening Campfire program. Most used this after Willen Lakes to complete their Adventure Challenge and Skills Challenge Badges – 2 of the 7 Badges needed for the top Cub Award the Silver Chief Scouts award.
Cub Leader David Coleman awarding over 34 Badges to the pack the following week said he was proud of them all and especially those for whom this was their first night camping in a tent away from their parents – despite pre-trip worries all now want to do it again and that is what it is all about!
