Our HQ
2nd Braunston Scout Group has its own meeting place that was donated to it by a Braunston resident as a legacy.
As a group we try hard both to maintain as well as constantly improve it. In the last 10 years a mezzanine floor was added to create the art area and inside stores, an upstairs training/meeting room created, central heating added throughout, kitchen re-furbished and fully equipped, main hall decorated and carpeted. An extra toilet was added, so one for males and one for females, roofing, guttering and main walls all made sound, large flat grassed area outside created and fenced in, garage added for extra and more accessible stores, health and safety audits and work for fire equipment and warnings, lighting upgrades inside and out, locks and security and a front garden created and planted by the Cub Pack.
Like any property there will always be more to do but where as many Scout Groups either have to share a premises or own a wooden hut, we are privilleged to have a dedicated brick built premises to be proud of.
